Class EA Study (Alternative Designs) - October 22 and 29, 2011

In Spring 2011, Durham Region presented the design options which included widening Highway 2 for curbside bus only lanes, High-Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes, mixed traffic lanes, or a median transit way. On October 22 and 29, The Region will host a second set of Public Information Centres (PICs) to present and discuss the evaluation and the recommended design. The PICs will be held in an open house drop-in format providing information on the study, the transit vision for the corridor, and to gather comments on the recommended design (curbside bus only lanes with on-road buffered bicycle lanes), potential environmental impacts and proposed mitigation measures.
